Shore Dives

Some of our shore diving spots include:
  • Corson's Inlet
  • Dutch Springs
  • Round Valley
  • Delaware Water Gap
  • Island Beach State Park
  • Bainbridge Quary
  • Shark River Inlet
We will be adding some details about each for future shore dive planning. Check out the dive log for descriptions of some of our past trips.

Club Dive: Delaware Water Gap.

Our shore dive to the Delaware Water Gap was blown out due to heavy rain the night before. The area is known for runoff, and this would have destroyed the viability. We will have to try again another time.

Round Valley: a beautiful dive to a picturesque site.

The club had its second shore dive at the Round Valley Recreation site.  There were 11 divers from the club and several nondiving friends and family present.  We could not have asked for a better day. The sun was shining, the water was warm (around 71 degrees at the surface).  Round Valley is a gorgeous and scenic location.  The water was clear, but there was 3 inches of silt on the bottom that was easily kicked up, but it was heavy sediment that cleared within minutes.  There were quite a large amount of fish there, and they acted like they knew we could not catch them, as they swam within inches of us.

There is nothing better than diving and being around many friends, both long known and new.

Dutch Dive Saturday

The lines were long, but we had good weather (most of the day) and great diving conditions. A good day to check out the gear. There were some minor equipment issues here and there, but the diving was still good. On bad days, I keep saying "I could be at work". It just puts it all in perspective.
